Pretty Little Things began as a passion project by owner Emma back in 2012 when it became clear that her knack of sourcing the perfect gift was more than just luck and impeccable taste. Emma was working in advertising and marketing but still found the time to build the first Pretty Little Things website and amass a decent customer base all eager to tap into her carefully curated online gift store.
A career change a few years later resulted in Emma taking a hiatus from Pretty Little Things but she moved on to learn all she needed to know about selling in the giftware industry both nationally and internationally.
Cut to 2020 and COVID’s lockdown and Emma’s passion for All Things Pretty was re-ignited by an epiphany on just how abundant New Zealand’s talented local small producers and creators were and by the end of lockdown, Pretty Little Things 2.0 was well underway.
Now armed with a solid background in marketing, retail, wholesaling and distribution her goal is to provide a diverse range of both locally and internationally sourced products and create long lasting relationships with her suppliers and customers.
‘I’m constantly in awe of the creative talent I come across and I want to utilise all my experience and skillset to support and help my suppliers, especially those who are just starting out, to grow and flourish. I have big plans for all the Pretty Little Things that I discover”.
